Meet Marca

With a deep-rooted passion for service and an unwavering commitment to her clients, Marca Ewers Shurtleff brings a wealth of legal expertise and policy experience to the Bryan-College Station community. As the owner of Tx Ag Law, she provides comprehensive legal solutions in business transactions, estate planning, entity formation, succession planning, real estate, and agricultural law.

Raised on a farm in the Texas Panhandle, Marca developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for integrity, problem-solving, and community service. She pursued her education at Texas A&M University, earning a degree in Agricultural Leadership and Development with a minor in Philosophy. She then attended South Texas College of Law Houston, where she excelled in advanced estate planning courses, earned a place on the Dean’s Honor List, and graduated Cum Laude. During her tenure at law school, Marca also earned the CALI Award for legislative writing and studied under Chief Justice John Roberts at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic.

Throughout her career, Marca has built a reputation as a skilled legal strategist, policy expert, and dedicated advocate. She gained hands-on legal experience clerking with the United States Attorney’s Office, City of Houston, and Underwood Law Firm, working across employment, municipal, agricultural, contract, water, and probate law. Her background in policy is equally impressive—she became one of Texas’ youngest Mayor at age 26 and has spent the last 27 years shaping public policy at local, state, and federal levels.

Today, in addition to her legal practice, Marca serves as a Bryan City Council Member, continuing her mission of leadership, advocacy, and community-driven progress. She takes pride in providing modern legal services built on traditional values, offering innovative solutions tailored to the needs of individuals, businesses, and agricultural enterprises across Texas.

“Marca restructured our living wills, and even had ideas to better our wishes. Outstanding communication and professionalism. Excellent work. Highly recommend her and the whole team."
